Our virtual runs and the impact!

Our virtual runs and the impact!

In early 2020, COVID-19 hit the world! Despite isolation, restrictions, lockdowns and everything in between, our team of passionate health practitioners wanted to keep people moving! But how to do this during a global pandemic when we can’t deliver our programs in Community anymore? This is where our virtual runs were born.

We are incredibly humbled to celebrate over 16,000 registrations and moving over 171,000 kms together during 2020 and 2021! Not only were people moving, they were also connecting with one another and learning about Aboriginal history and culture.

In 2021, participation by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people doubled to 40%. Considering that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people make up 2% of the entire Australian population, we are proud of that!

A special shout out to the 25 Aboriginal Organisations and Community groups for joining our Mob Run This package. The dedication to providing your Community positive spaces to get moving in has played a big contribution in us celebrating having 25% of our registrations dedicated to mob since 2020!

We can't wait to continue this legacy with you! We will be back in 2022! So stay tuned for our next virtual event for a chance to connect to country, celebrate NAIDOC, move your body and add another grouse medal to the collection!

With impact and purpose,
